I installed it on a Jeep JL with a std transmission. It had a bad throttle delay when taking off from a dead stop making it frustrating to drive for someone that’s drove a std his whole life. The pedal commander is a must for modified Jeep Wranglers. Added 2 1/2 in lift with 35s and Terra-flex suspension upgrade.
Without the pedal commander installed/activated my jeep’s throttle response took a huge hit. If I were to guess I’d say approx 40%; due to bigger distance and rotation.
After installation of my pedal commander and tested out in Sport mode my tires were pushing the rear end like a drag car! Start off in city mode and dial it to 3 or 4. It’s like a power-band for your jeep! Love it.Must have.

Bought the pedal commander for my 2016 JK. I added 37” tires and the jeep felt sluggish, added the pedal commander which took no more than 5 minutes to install and the response is fantastic. I’ve driven it for a tank of gas in city mode and I kid you not my mpg has gone from 14.7 to 16.9…… hope that holds up. All in all extremely pleased with the pedal commander.

Well yes it an easy install X for the JK Wrangler, and the city#3 makes the throttle feel connected to the engine but…
The tight clearance of the top connector and the Commander plug and the component made for a bit more time than the instructions stated.
I found that removing the bottom throttle 10mm nut and loosening only a few turns ( it would be very difficult to reinstall the nut with the angle and lack of space. I used a shallow 10mm, universal and 8 inch extension in 1/4 drive) and the top connectors lined up and clicked together.
Had to turn everything off, Jeep, phone a few time before Bluetooth would sync, but works great now,

I installed one on my 2021 Gladiator and WOW what a difference in throttle response and a bunch of our club members have now done the same! Upon getting our 2018 out of its winter hibernation I figured why not as the 5 speed auto is a bit more sluggish than the new 8 speed and very pleased on the response and more pep to it. Both 3.6 gas.

Great product. Works as advertised. Getting the factory connection off was a pain, not much room to get your hand into. Then connecting the Pedal Commander connector was easy, but still very cramped. Nothing to fault the product for, just a tight fit.
Great reaponse on the Sport+ setting! Definitely got my attention...from a Jeep!

I like it. It’s fun to play with but plugging in the plug on the commander to my pedal on a 2015 JK was dam near impossible. I am very good with my hands but 5 minutes turned in to hours.

To start with a little about my jeep as many are modified like mine. 37" tires and 4:56 gearing. It's the 3.6 motor. Before the pedal commander I had lag or rather a long distance to depress the pedal when getting the freeway. Well that's all gone and made the jeep more enjoyable to drive on longer trips. In town I back it down a notch so its not so sensitive on the throttle.
Installation is very basic and I suggest pulling off the lower plastic beneath the steering column and removing the tin plate that is held on with two screws. This will at least allow you to shine a light to disconnect the wiring then reconnect the pedal commander. I haven't found a good place to mount the module yet but I might tuck it up neatly under the dash and just use the app on my phone to make changes. I haven't tried the security feature out yet but I plan to in the near future.

My new 23 wrangler 392 was a beast. THEN, I added the pedal commander which literally took a few minutes to install, and HOLY EFF, the difference makes it seem like it was a pussy cat, and now is a boss battle BEAST!

I learned about the product through my brother who has a unit on his jeep . I purchased the Pedal Commander for my 2008 Jeep JK and I am very happy with the product so far. One improvement that would have made it even better was that the cable to the unit could have been done with a quick disconnect in case you did not want to leave it in the vehicle, you can just pop it off. Other than that the product is well designed.

I had just barely installed it this past weekend. It sure makes a great amount of difference. I'm still determining which mode will be my favorite. Why do manufactures of cars want to tune down their electronic throttle bodies so that the V6 engine feels more like a four cylinder.

This is exactly what I needed for my JKU. No more pedal lag. Install was a little tough, but was worth the effort. Have ran it in eco mode and city. , have not had the chance to run it in sport or sport + mode. But expect nothing less than spectacular results. The response is s close as you can get to a mechanical linkage throttle, step on the pedal and go, right now !

WOW ! What a difference this makes. Have tried all 4 modes, and they do every thing as advertised ! This is the way a Jeep should feel when you put your foot into it. The Evo mode works well on the trails where a heavy foot can get you into trouble real quick . Great product that I will definitely recommend to my friends . .

Review: 100/100. I set my mode to City+3. And my first thought on hitting the gas was “oh **** this is SEXY!” Big ol grin on my face. It’s giving me 1:1 pedal response…this thing is a f***ing HIT! My previous car was a BMW i3 and the zip and responsiveness on that car is seemingly duplicated here! Which is freaking exciting! If you’re not used to a very responsive pedal/torque response this will take some getting used to. However at a moment while making a left into moving traffic I needed a certain amount of power and speed. With the Pedal Commander I got the exact power I needed with the expected pressure on the pedal. This is no small change on my Jeep: the 4xe’s all electric response is quick, the gas response is sluggish, the hybrid response is sluggish. But all that has been evened out and each mode is now as responsive as the all electric mode. This thing is GREAT!

Was a bit skeptical at first but read the reviews of folks that said it great. I reluctantly bought it and WOW , it is for real. Huge difference! My 2008 JK was a dog with laggy throttle response & no power at all. Now it feels like I hooked up a turbo to it. I’m gonna order one for my wife’s 2015 Jeep Renegade as it is a dog too. Added Pedal Commander to my 2014 Wrangler JK. It really woke up the 3.6 liter response and made manual transmission shifts smoother due to the increased sensitivity of the throttle. Two co-workers added a PC to their 2023 Toyota trucks and say it made a massive difference in throttle response as well. I highly recommend Pedal Commander.

Simple installation, definitely works best in “City” mode which returns the digital throttle to 1:1 pedal ratio. The more aggressive modes are insane, with race being practically unusable with the terrible stock JL clutch.

Nice tool to cut the pedal lag. It really works! You really feel it as soon as you use it. Wish I could customize the car graphic on the app to the vehicle I drive. That would be cool. It would be even great if the app was CarPlay compatible.I drive a Jeep. I wonder what an “Off road” mode will do if added.

This is my second pedal commander purchase. The 2020 Tacoma version transformed that vehicle from a miserable, gutless, tiring experience constantly shifting gears in the manual transmission to sporty, willing and fun to drive.
For this application, the 2007 Wrangler 2dr 3.8L, the install was quite complicated compared to the Tacoma plug and play. For this Wrangler you have to disassemble part of the lower dash, and remove the stereo amplifier. Mostly easy work. The hard part was moving the huge wire loom above the plug to remove it.
Once installed connection is a breeze and it improves throttle response but not to the extent that the Tacoma did. I shift gears less because it's willing to pull out of slower speeds in higher gears. That's worth it in my opinion.

This has turned out to be a great purchase. I have been using it for several months now and have had no issues. I have a Jeep Wrangler 2.0 turbo. Pedal Commander really does make a difference. It has smoothed out the frustrating turbo lag and makes driving much more fun! The pedal response is amazing! I love the different modes. I only wish I had know about this product sooner.

Not a simple process to get to the plug on my 2008 jeep jk. Once installed, I was pleasantly surprised that pedal commander did as promised. No, it doesn't add horsepower but the throttle response made the jeep feel like it did. Getting my jeep to maintain speed by downshifting was always an issue with having to practically floor the throttle to get it to downshift. That all went away. I'm very happy with this investment. Did exactly what it advertised. My jeep has a Rubicon swap in it running 4:88 gears on 37" Nittos.
