In 2011, Ford turned its best-selling F150 into an all-out off-road monster complete with a racing-derived FOX suspension, 35- and 37-inch off-road tires, and engines pumping out immense power. America’s truck has now become a wide-bodied desert-running performance machine, but the stock drive-by-wire comes with an annoying throttle lag. The Pedal Commander® throttle response controller is all this beast needs. It eliminates that lag and gives the Raptor the throttle response it should have had from the factory.

You can enjoy the Raptor's true performance, regardless of its year or the engine under the hood. Pedal Commander® is compatible with all Raptors, whether it’s the P415 SVT Raptor with the 5.4-liter Modular V8 or the 6.2L Boss, the P552 Raptor with the 3.5L EcoBoost, the P702 Raptor with the EcoBoost or the 5.2L Carnivore V8. WHAT IS THROTTLE LAG?

Throttle lag is the brief moment of “dead zone” you get when you first press down the accelerator pedal. The engine responds to your inputs after that brief moment, and the stock programming restricts how fast and how much the throttle valve opens. However powerful the engines under the hood are, the F150 Raptors are also prone to throttle lag. The delayed and slow response is built into stock drive-by-wire mapping to meet emissions standards, hit fuel economy targets, and make the vehicles appealing to the widest range of drivers.

The Pedal Commander® throttle response controller is the simplest fix for throttle delay. It connects in line with the throttle pedal position sensor on the gas pedal assembly and intercepts the restricted signal to remap it. With Pedal Commander®, the ECU gets a modified throttle signal and opens the throttle valve faster with no initial delay.

The basic steps of the Pedal Commander® installation are always the same regardless of the vehicle's make and model:

Turn off the ignition and wait 10-15 minutes with your driver's door open to allow your ECU to shut down.

Disconnect your accelerator pedal assembly plug, then plug in the heads to connectors on the Pedal Commander® harness.

Clean up the area where you want to mount the control unit with the alcohol wipe. Stick the bracket with the supplied velcro.

After you make sure the cables are secure and won't be tangled, you are ready to enjoy Pedal Commander®.

Definitely a noticeable difference, I did not inform the wife I installed on truck, she called me within 5 minutes of leaving the house and said the truck is too sensitive for her she said when she touches the peddle it puts her back in the seat. Note: I did have it set on sport+. Wife drives a challenger as a daily driver so she is used to power.
